Alien crashes on an inhospitable planet and tries to contact his*her home planet. While searching, Alien experiences a world in which Alien is simultaneously trapped and repelled. When discovering someone who returns Alien’s gaze, they create themselves a sanctuary.
The film reflects identity issues and themes of otherness. In doing so, he creates a surreal parallel world that is meant to reflect the alien figure’s subjective view of our real world, so that the alien figure suddenly becomes the most actually human figure in the film. In the process, camp as queer aesthetics and futuristic narratives from pop culture influence the expression of the film. These abstractions provide a different perspective on hegemonic norms and structures.
