NON MERCI encapsulates the frustrations, questions and bewilderment of a 40 something man who wishes he could enjoy the present moment more rather than seeing time slip away relentlessly. We are all heading to the same place so we better have some fun along the way, right? The question is how to do that when you know what the destination is? When nothing really makes any sense? The answer is perhaps that one has to learn to be sadly happy. This is what I tried to achieve with NON MERCI: to make a none-sense sadly happy film.
